What we collect
Vocele is built around an anonymous account model. When you first open the app, we generate a random identifier stored securely in your device's Keychain — we do not require your name, email, or phone number to use Vocele.
- Anonymous identifier — a random ID that lets our servers sync your progress across sessions, without being tied to your real-world identity.
- Learning data — the languages you're learning, your vocabulary progress, conversation history with your AI coach, pronunciation scores, and streaks.
- Voice audio — spoken input you provide during conversation and accent-practice exercises is processed to generate pronunciation feedback and may be cached briefly to enable fast playback.
- Purchase data — subscription status is managed through Apple's App Store and our payments processor; we do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Basic usage & diagnostics — crash reports and performance metrics to keep the app reliable.
How we use it
We use your data to operate and improve Vocele: personalizing lessons and conversation difficulty, generating pronunciation feedback, tracking your progress, and diagnosing technical issues. We do not sell your personal data.
Third parties
We use third-party infrastructure to provide core features, including cloud speech-recognition and text-to-speech providers, and a subscription-management provider. These providers process data only as needed to deliver the feature and under their own data-processing agreements with us.
Data retention & deletion
Because accounts are anonymous, resetting your device identity (for example, reinstalling the app) will disconnect you from your existing learning data. You can request deletion of your account data by contacting us at the email below.
Children's privacy
Vocele is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
